Liam Young has a problem - he's booked a romantic holiday to Rio de Janeiro months ago, but when he breaks up with his boyfriend, all his plans fall apart. Not only is his dream holiday slipping through his fingers, but Liam is sick and tired of getting his heart broken.
Blaine Reed has a solution that can save Liam's plans. Recently divorced, Blaine needs a break, and a couple of stress-free weeks in Rio with a sexy guy like Liam sounds like heaven.
Liam and Blaine hit it off right from the start, becoming good friends even before they've left London. Despite their efforts to ignore the simmering attraction between them, it boils over when they end up sharing a room in one of the most romantic cities in the world.
Being together in Rio is easy, and it's exactly what Liam needs - no feelings, no drama, nobody getting hurt.
Until someone does.
When the holiday bubble bursts, it's up to them to find a way to be together outside of Rio's seductive magic.
What you want the takeaway of the book to be for readers: A Sip of Rio is a happy book about beach holidays, finding love in unexpected places and following your heart. I’d like readers to fall in love with Rio de Janeiro as much as I did, and crave a beach holiday of their own. And maybe, just maybe, gather the courage to do what their heart tells them just this once.
Quotes from Teodora Kostova about the book: I fell in love with Rio de Janeiro when I first went there a couple of years ago and it was inevitable I’d set a book there some day. A Sip of Rio is that book. It’s romantic, sexy, maybe a bit melancholy, and full of hope. It’s a book you can relax by the pool with, a cocktail in hand, and a smile on your face.
Select brief quotes from the book:
Blaine would always protect Liam’s heart, even at the expense of his own.

“You’re falling in love right now, aren’t you?” Liam said, his camera clicking relentlessly.
Blaine turned to face him, his eyes sliding past Liam to the view of Copacabana beach
behind him, and then back on Liam’s face.
“Yeah,” he finally said, feeling his cheeks flushing. “I think I am.”

But the nagging thought at the back of his mind that this was all a fantasy, a screwed up
version of reality that would come crashing down on them the moment they set foot
in London, remained. What they had here was easy. It was fun and romantic and magical.
But it couldn't last.
Could it?
Excerpt
They spent the last days of their holiday mostly sleeping in, lounging on the beach, eating ice-cream, and making love. Blaine never mentioned their conversation in the tent again, and soon Liam relaxed. The silences became comfortable again, the smiles bigger and the kisses longer. The ticking clock on their time together couldn't be paused, and Blaine could hear every tick and every tock in his mind, a countdown to the finish line. If Liam felt the same way, he didn’t let on. He seemed happy, if a little melancholy about leaving Rio soon, but mostly he was full of smiles, silly jokes, and very naughty ideas of what he could do to Blaine in bed.
On their last day in Rio, after gathering their luggage and getting ready for the early morning flight the next day, Liam suggested they go out clubbing. The night started with a few drinks at the beach bar, then dancing and a few more drinks at a gay club. Blaine was sure they’d both regret this in the morning, especially with an eleven hour flight ahead of them, but he didn't care. Watching Liam as he danced, his movements graceful and free, his grin never leaving his face, Blaine knew the fierce hangover would be worth it.
“I need some fresh air,” Blaine said in Liam’s ear, catching his hand and dragging him off the dance floor and outside the club.
The silence outside was deafening after the thumping music inside, and Blaine was momentarily taken aback by the quiet of the night. The crisp night felt good on his flushed skin, clearing the fog on his mind a little.
Liam stepped closer to him, backing him against the wall, planting his hands on the sides of Blaine’s head and caging him in.
“Fresh air?” He said, arching an eyebrow.
Blaine lunged forward and fused their mouths together, the desire he felt for Liam, the need to be with him, overpowering all his other thoughts. He threw caution to the wind, picking Liam up, turning and slamming his back against the wall. Liam grunted, but didn’t protest, wrapping his legs around Blaine's waist, his arms around Blaine’s neck, holding on as if he was never letting go.
But that wasn’t true, was it?
Blaine kissed him desperately, possessively, bruising his lips with his stubble, with his teeth, claiming Liam’s mouth as if it was his soul.
“I want you,” Blaine panted against Liam’s mouth, kissing him over and over, and unable to stop whatever was about to spill out of his mouth.
“You have me,” Liam said, arching his back against the wall, searching for more friction on his hard cock.
“No, I don’t.” Blaine bit Liam’s jaw, harder than he should have, but when Liam whimpered with need he nipped at it again, going all the way down his neck to his collarbone.
“Of course you do,” Liam whispered, his voice husky with arousal. “I’ll let you fuck me right here if that’s what you need.”
Blaine pulled away sharply, untangling Liam's legs from his waist and caging him in against the wall. Their faces were inches apart as they studied each other in the dim light of the street lamp. Liam’s skin was hot, his cheeks pink with arousal, his mouth wet from Blaine’s kisses. He was beautiful, and right here, in Blaine’s arms, but it felt like he was slipping away, just out of reach.
4 Stars!
Both Liam and Blaine have recently gotten out of long term relationships. But Liam booked a couples' trip that's non-refundable, but also has a clause that he cannot substitute another person or go alone, so now he has to find a Jonathan Reed to agree to go on a romantic trip to Rio with him. When he resorts to telling his story on the radio, Blaine, whose real name happens to be Jonathan Reed, hears it and volunteers to go with Liam. Liam and Blaine hit it off right away, but what happens when the feelings get muddled, and is it real or just the romance of Rio?
Awww, this was a sweet and sexy read. I absolutely loved Blaine and Liam, until I wanted to strangle Liam, but for the most part, I loved them both. The chemistry and sexual attraction was off the charts and the sex was smoking hot!!
I loved seeing Rio through Blaine and Liam's eyes, the author's descriptions are so vivid, I felt like I took the vacation right along with Liam and Blaine, minus the sunburn, and thank god for that because owie!!
This was a great story, well-written and paced well with some fun-filled vacation days! I absolutely loved it and can't recommend it enough! It'd be a great beach read!! Highly recommended!!

Author Bio
Hi, my name is Teodora and I live in London with my husband and my son. I've been writing ever since I can remember, but it became my full time job in 2010 when I decided that everything else I've tried bores me to death and I have to do what I've always wanted to do, but never had to guts to fully embrace. I've been a journalist, an editor, a personal assistant and an interior designer among other things, but as soon as the novelty of the new, exciting job wears off, I always go back to writing. Being twitchy, impatient, loud and hasty are not qualities that help a writer, because I have to sit alone, preferably still, and write for most of the day, but I absolutely love it. It's the only time that I'm truly at peace and the only thing I can do for more than ten minutes at a time - my son has a bigger attention span than me.
When I'm procrastinating, I like to go to the gym, cook Italian meals (and eat them), read, listen to rock music, watch indie movies and True Blood re-runs. Or, in the worst case scenario, get beaten at every Nintendo Wii game by a very inventive kid.
