Finn 'Dash' Lloyd doesn’t “do” good girls. He’s a newly patched member of the Dogs of Fire Motorcycle Club, and he’s enjoying all the perks that come with it. But when he finds himself thrust into the unwanted role of guardian, he realizes the good girl that captures his heart might just save his soul.
But Dash needs to figure out how to protect Willow from a threat buried deep in her past before it's too late.
“Dash and Willow, what a great ride.”
“I don't know how she does it but Piper has managed to inject the sweet with just enough spice.”
“This book was freaking awesome. Such a twisted storyline with bikers and religion.”

4.5 Stars!

This is only my second book by Piper Davenport so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I loved Road to Peace, Hatch and Maise's story. Hatch stole my heart so I was really hoping Dash would do the same. Luckily for me, he definitely made me fall in love with him fairly quickly. I loved that while he owned the whole Alpha male personality, he was very down to earth, sweet and sincere. He didn't come off as a jerk or a borderline misogynist but as a man that would stand by his woman no matter what.

Willow was sweet and innocent, the quintessential Preacher's daughter. Sometimes that can be annoying and come off as fake, however, Piper Davenport did a wonderful job making Willow real. She was the girl next door, the type of person I wouldn't mind being friends with. Especially because she was kind right off the bat to Dash and his MC brothers (and to Hatch who I've mentioned is my favorite). There wasn't a time where she annoyed me, which is rare if I'm being honest.

Together Dash and Willow were great. They were cute and sweet as well as sexy and passionate. They had great chemistry and while there's a touch of instalove, I really didn't mind it. I loved that Dash didn't dither around trying to decide if he was ready to be all in and there weren't those PITA Club Girls we have to put up with in these types of books. It's a lot more believable when they say you can trust they won't cheat when there aren't a ton of skanky women trying to get a patch.

The story itself was pretty good and had a nice suspense without going over the top. The Dogs of Fire aren't 1 percenters so we didn't get a lot of crazy scenarios reminiscent of an episode of SOA (not that I mind that, SOA is my all time favorite show) but the focus stays more on Dash, Willow and figuring out who murdered her father.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book, the characters, and the writing. I definitely would recommend it and I'm going to be on the lookout for the next book in the series.
