Daydream, or was it more like a Nightmare?
He was a biker, a Nomad at that.
They're the worst type of outlaws to fall for.
He called me his daydream and I fell.

He called me his daydream and I fell.
I promised I wouldn't f×ck him, but I lied and then left.
I had to, he didn't want kids and I was carrying his child.
Now, I have to go back and can't help but wonder...
will he kill me for keeping his son a secret?

4.5 Stars!
What I Loved: This is definitely a well-written, gritty story about Outlaw bikers. They are a bit crazy and violent and dirty, they're extremely fierce and loyal and they definitely suck you into their Club and their world. While I didn't like some of the characters' actions and I found myself slightly lost (I have only read 2 of the books in this Biker Universe) I still couldn't put Daydream down and I loved that.
What I Liked: I really liked that I became not only invested in the story of Daydream/Bethany and Nightmare but also a few of the other characters as well and now I can't wait for their stories, too. Saint and Sinner I have a feeling will be excellent and I'm kind of anxious about it because in my mind I have very clear ideas of where I'd like them to go. Of course, there is also Blaze and Odin and maybe even little Maverick down the line. I also will need to go back and read the previous Oath Keepers MC Books.
What I Didn't Like: Okay, I really need to know why it seems that no matter what happens, the blame is always put on the woman's shoulders. Yes, I agree that Bethany keeping her son's existence from his father was bad and she was wrong to do so. However, the woman was young and truly believed that Nightmare wouldn't want to be a father. She grew up in a crappy home and she wanted to protect her child and provide him with the home she herself never had. Should she have spoken up about Maverick? Yes! But let's not forget how Nightmare responded to her when she voiced her concerns about pregnancy to him.
"I'm sterile and clean...I wouldn't be fuckin you bareback like this if I was gonna knock you up. Clearly, I like my freedom."
On top of that, the man was a Nomad biker. She didn't even expect him to stick around for long.
When he finds out the truth, he proceeds to let her know he wants to kill her. Not just empty words we may say when we're mad, this man is a dangerous outlaw biker.
Whether he's pissed or not, let me just say he's a a**hole. He never, not once, takes even a little bit of the blame off her shoulders. He never once says that while she screwed up, he can see she wasn't trying to be malicious. He expects that because she did that to him he can hold it over her head for the rest of their lives and throw it in her face whenever he wants his way.
As the book goes on, the man controls her life and dictates how she lives it and if she protests, he just tells her she owes him. I'm sorry but this enraged me. He was basically infallible and she, of course, needed to do all the changing.
Luckily, this story was entertaining or I'm not sure I could have stomached finishing it. I was able to push it into the back of my mind and I found myself drawn into their world. I felt invested in the story and had to know how it all worked out in the end. Nightmare didn't remain a complete and utter a**hole (he never apologizes for his behavior, either) and Bethany loved him something fierce, so I was happy she got her HEA (not to mention a little bit of revenge where it hurts).
Overall, I'm going to admit that I'm hooked. I'll be on the lookout for future Oath Keepers MC books (particularly Saint and Sinner's). I would recommend Daydream to MC fans for sure.
