Evolutionary psychology professor Henry Hathaway is ready to spend his birthday the same way he does every year: a good teeth cleaning followed by lunch with his brother. But when he receives a wrong-number text confirming the details of a date, he does what any considerate person would—he goes to meet them and explain why they've been stood up.
Asher Wescott hadn't expected his blind date to go well, because when do they ever? Henry shows up instead, and things are suddenly looking up. Socially awkward and attached to his routines, Henry is nevertheless one of the most charming and kind men Asher has met in a long time.
Too bad he's not Henry's type.
An accidental date, an impulsive kiss, and a few conflicted feelings later, can Asher get Henry to see the world—and him—in a different light?

I absolutely loved both Henry and Asher. Henry is quirky and kind of formal. He's book smart, yet very socially awkward. I loved how well he fit with Asher, and I thought the author did a fabulous job at having Henry work through and come to terms with his sexuality. He doesn't accept it automatically, but he doesn't let his not completely understanding it keep him from exploring it either. Asher was such an amazing guy and I adored his patience and his willingness to let he and Henry just be friends at first and later to move things along as slowly as Henry needed.
This was such a sweet story with two lovable characters. The chemistry between Henry and Asher was undeniable and they complimented one another well. Henry gave Asher some structure, while Asher helped and encouraged Henry to be more spontaneous. Their dates were awesome and I loved getting to tag along.
This was an absolutely adorable story, well-written and filled with a little adventure, sweetness, laughter, acceptance and of course, love. Highly recommendable!!
