Amazon Review Tour: Hear Me Out by Lila Rose

Title: Hear Me Out
Series: Hawks MC: Caroline Springs Charter #5
Author: Lila Rose
Genre: M/M MC Romance
Release Date: August 8, 2017

Fear keeps the truth away from his brothers. Fear and pain keeps him away from the man he loves. Hawks MC member Maddox “Beast” Lawson had a difficult time growing up. Tired of being ridiculed because of his effed-up brain-to-mouth connection, it was easier to say nothing at all. Living in silence worked out just fine until that b*tch called Fate took his hearing, not only that, but she also threw him into the arms of the man who refuses to acknowledge that one hot night they shared.
Jay Conger, Knife to his brothers, loves pussy. Licking, fingering, screwing, he’ll take it any way it’s offered. After one surprising night with Beast, to say he’s freaked out is an understatement. Hell, even bananas have taken on a new meaning, and thinking about a certain someone’s body is too much. Unable to think straight, Knife is at an impasse, not only with his traitorous desire but with his heart. Both lives are going to change. Only will it be for the better?

5+ Stars!

♥︎♥︎♥︎ I Love Beast and Knife ♥︎♥︎♥︎

I'm not really familiar with this particular series as I've only read 2 other books by this author, but if there are more like this one, I'll be an avid fan soon. I instantly fell in love with this story and these characters and I honestly didn't want it to end. I laughed and I cried and highlighted so many parts of this book, it's not even funny.

Beast doesn't speak and to his horror, he wakes up one day to find he can't hear. Panicked, he rushes to the hospital and they discover he's lost his hearing permanently. Beast has no idea how he'll survive this if it means his place in the club is in jeopardy. He needs his brothers but he's afraid to reach out to them. Even more, he needs his best friend, Knife, but Knife has been avoiding him and won't speak to him.

Knife is unable to shake off his memories of the night he crossed the line with his best friend and worse, enjoyed it. He's not gay, he wouldn't even call himself bisexual, but that doesn't stop him from feeling like Beast woke something inside him. It isn't until he realizes something big is going on with Beast that he grows a pair and confronts the man.

Beast isn't the only one whose life is turned upside down. He's lost his hearing and fears he'll lose his place in the club. He's also hidden the fact that he's gay and in love with his best friend. However, Knife has to deal with sorting out his feelings for Beast and the fact that he's jealous of a new person in Beast's life. Add to that he gets a surprise from his past that he never expected.

This story is filled with angst that sometimes brought tears to my eyes. Beast broke my heart more than once. Between his past, the reasons for him not speaking and then losing his hearing on top of it. His sexuality and what it means in relation to the club. Then his relationship with Knife, his best friend he's in love with and needs in his life but is afraid he's lost. It was emotional.

The story is also filled with tons of laughs. Knife is hilarious. I usually get pissed at the MC that is fighting against the romance but Knife was hard to stay mad at. The man was too funny and I fell completely in love with him.

Together Beast and Knife had a great connection. Unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to see how they may have been in previous books but I can tell that they must have had a great friendship that came through. They were sometimes hilarious together, other times they were sweet. They had some pretty smoking sexual tension, too. I had to fan myself a couple of times.

This story was very well done and I appreciated how the author handled the issue of the men's relationship with the club. I am always looking for some great MM MC Romances and this one is going into my favorites pile for sure. I LOVED (I stress the word love) that this story didn't wimp out and add a bunch of MF sex to the mix and cut the relationship between Beast and Knife short. I loved that there wasn't a bunch of outside stuff taking over the story either. This happened to be a MC Romance that featured a same sex pairing and the emotions involved in coming to terms with it. There was the subplot featuring a threat to the club, so it wasn't just Beast and Knife but everything flowed well together and made me very interested in what was coming as far as this series is concerned.

I highly recommend Hear Me Out and I have to say if you late looking for MM MC Romance, this is it!
