Marcus Wilson aka Havoc is the Dead Presidents MC’s Sargent at Arms. When we meet him in book one, he is in jail for assaulting the well-connected son of the Mayor. Since being absolved of the charges, he is trying his best to play by the rules and keep his anger under control but it’s not always easy.
Julia Edwards came from a life of privilege and all it entails. But finding out her husband betrayed her sent her over the edge. Now she’s turned her back on that life and just wants simple and freeing. The last thing she wants is him or everything that goes along with being an Edwards. Now, her days are spent running her quiet little bookstore and getting lost in her books.
Unfortunately, she has to face the life she’s hoping to escape when she stands as Maid of Honor at her sister’s wedding. Not wanting to go alone or worse be fixed up, she comes up with what seems to be the perfect solution. What better date could she have than the gorgeous and sexy man she just met, Marcus, who will surely make an impact on the guest list.
This is definitely a story of how opposites attract and balance each other out. Together Julia and Havoc are great. I loved the banter between them and how they made me laugh one minute and swoon the next. This was definitely a great match.
I enjoyed the storyline and thought Harley Stone did a wonderful job telling the story. I was a huge fan of Havoc from Book one and I’m so glad we got his story after Link’s. Of course, now I’m anxious for Book 3 and Wasp.
