One last heist.

It should’ve been easy. Crack a safe, steal from a villain, and go on vacation. The last thing Mack and Toshiro expect is to descend into a nightmare of betrayal.

Mack Ueda-Easton loves three things: his husband, heists, and his odd family of friends. He lives life on the edge. The only cloud on his horizon is the degenerative disease stealing his sight.

Toshiro Ueda-Easton tries to juggle his husband, his autistic sister, his interfering mother, and all of their heists. He knows they’re spiraling out of control and the journey they’re travelling can’t last.

What neither of them expect is to get catapulted straight into a dangerous conspiracy. They’re now in a race to come out on top. If they fail, the consequences are unimaginable.

4.5 Stars!

Mack and Toshiro are a married couple of Robin Hood-type thieves, who live for each other, their families and the heists they pull off. Unfortunately, Mack also has a debilitating eye disease that has been getting worse as time passes and that might get in the way of their profession, especially since he refuses to go to the doctor and get it treated. And aside from worrying about his husband, Toshiro has also his autistic sister and his mother to worry about. And let's not forget the latest heist they've stumbled upon and that might be their ruin.

I absolutely loved the cover, it was the first thing that drew me to the book, followed right by the blurb and the fact that I've enjoyed the other books by Dahlia Donovan I've read.

I loved Mack and Toshi, they were a well-integrated couple and while I will admit I don't usually enjoy books where the couples are already together when I start reading their story, this one worked for me. It didn't hurt that Toshi and Mack had amazing chemistry and they were really hot, fun and very in love with each other, or that they complemented each other so nicely.

I really liked their band of merry thieves, from Charlie, Toshi's autistic sister, to Dom, her lover, Jude, their wheelchair-bound friend and even Nico, who was more in the periphery of it all, they all contributed on whatever 'case' they were working on.

The main storyline was engaging and kept my interest throughout the whole book as I watched it unfold. The writing was really good, too, and even if I felt some of the transitions were a bit abrupt, it worked well for the story, which was fast-paced, sexy, action-packed, and just a tad angsty. Very recommendable!
