When the last thing you want, is everything you need….

Seb Calloway isn’t interested in shifters. After his best friend bonded with one, he avoids getting involved with them—no matter how hot they are—to prevent the same thing from happening to him. Why take the risk for a few hours of fun?

Tim Walters is the pack doctor. Considered to be mild-mannered and non-threatening by pack standards, he prides himself on being able to stay calm and maintain his control at all times. Desperate for a bond of his own, he knows his interest in Seb is an exercise in futility, but he can’t seem to help himself.

When news emerges that threatens Seb’s safety, he and Tim need to fake a relationship to keep Seb safe. Despite Seb’s refusal to be anything other than friends with benefits, what starts out as pretend, quickly becomes more—for Tim at least. If Tim doesn't want to end up heartbroken, he needs to prove to Seb that loving a shifter doesn’t mean losing himself.

4 Stars!

Let's start with what I didn't like, or rather who I didn't like, Seb. I found him annoying and immature and his hot/cold routine got really tiring really fast. And contrary to what happened to me with Jared in Bitten by Mistake, I didn't warm up to him until the very end and by then, it was almost too late for me. Yes, he had great chemistry with Tim and the sex scenes were very hot, but I hated that he would say one thing, expect Tim to comply and then do something that would negate what he said first. Mixed signals, much? He even admitted to it and saw that it was unfair to Tim, but did he stop? No, he didn't. Grrrr!!!

On the other hand, I adored Tim. He was loyal and sweet and had the patience of a saint. There was a point where I thought I'd love to see him paired with someone else rather than Seb, someone like Alec, although I guess the author has plans for Alec if the epilogue is anything to go by. My heart broke with how hurt Tim was with some of Seb's actions and words. *slaps Seb and cuddles Tim* Anyway, I guess it isn't about what I wanted, but what I got. And really, it wasn't that Seb and Tim weren't good together or had potential, but I was really fed up with Seb's attitude.

I loved catching up with Jared and Nathan and the rest of the pack. I found the P-pack and rogue shifters storyline very interesting, and I just loved reading all about the pack dynamics and everything it entailed. I'm very intrigued over what will happen next after the events that transpired at the end of Bitten by Design.

While I liked Bitten by Design as a whole, my dislike of Seb did mar that enjoyment a bit. Still, I think it was a very well-written paranormal romance, engaging and interesting and I think fans of the series will enjoy this book.

5 Stars for Tim!
2 Stars for Seb!
3.5 Stars for Story!

So, I am going to start by saying that I am not a fan of Seb at all. I truly think he is the king of mixed signals and is much too wishy-washy. I do not like the way he basically kept Tim hooked but kept him at arms-length at the same time for almost the entire book. He actually had my heart hurting for Tim.

Now Tim is a completely different story. I absolutely adored him. He was so sweet and protective, loyal and caring. This man would've laid down his life in a minute for Seb. He was also sexy and when it came down to it, he may not seem like the bada** Shifter that most of the others are but he actually is. I hated the way Seb was with his feelings and his need to bond, he deserved better, in my opinion.

Together they were hot in between the sheets and if they'd have been more on the same page, I would've loved them as a couple. I felt like outside of the bedroom I didn't really connect to Seb, though, so it made it hard for me to think of them as perfect mates. It seemed like Tim's personality was displayed vividly for us. Seb not so much other than the fact that he has no desire to be mated to a shifter.

I was kept in suspense at what was going on as far as the rogue Shifters and the Primrose Pack. I wasn't sure who could be trusted and what they were truly after. It was a bit difficult to keep everything straight because I couldn't completely remember the previous book. I got confused over the Pack hierarchy and the way the Units work and it made me feel a bit lost at times. Luckily, once the story really got going, it didn't seem to matter much anymore. I have to say that I definitely wanted more in the end and felt it was a bit anticlimactic. At least I liked the Epilogue and am now curious to see what might happen in book three.

If you liked Bitten by Mistake, I recommend this one.
