Former Primrose Pack member Jason Black happily accepted his role as beta in the new Regent’s Hill pack, knowing that merging the two was the best decision for everyone involved. Daryl Easton is loyal and honest but wary of change. The joining of the two packs wasn’t his preferred outcome, and he’s struggling to see all the newcomers as pack, including those now working alongside him.
When the alpha council proposes a two-week pack-building course to help improve troubled relationships, Jason and Daryl are sent along as backup. It soon becomes clear that the unit members and their betas won’t be the only ones taking part in tasks—Daryl and Jason will have challenges of their own to complete.
With the full moon adding to the rising tension, emotions are volatile, and tempers flare among the unit members. Jason and Daryl become closer than either of them expected, but with such opposing views on relationships, a messy outcome seems inevitable unless Daryl can let go of the past.

Bitten by Fate is the sixth (and final!) book in the Regent's Park Pack series and you need to read books 1-4 at the very least or you will be lost.
Daryl is one of Cam's old betas and is roped, along with Jason, one of the new betas and former member of the Primrose Pack, to supervise a team-building exercise and learn to work together. Even if he is attracted to Jason, the last thing he wants is to be in a relationship or forge a bond with anyone because of something that happened in his past. However, when one of the exercises triggers a potential bond between them, Daryl will need to decide if hanging on to the past is worth losing what he could have with Jason.
I liked Jason a lot. He was steadfast, loyal and very supportive. I liked Daryl, too, he was a good, strong beta, but I wanted to punch him something fierce so many times throughout the book. He was just so difficult with him not wanting to have a relationship/bond with anyone because of what happened to his parents. It practically took Alec and his mother to make Daryl listen and realize things weren't really how he thought they were. And then we have Jason just accepting it all and not showing any backbone at all and I was sort of done with them, no matter how hot they were together.
However, even if the relationship aspect of the story didn't quite work for me, and really, it's more of a case of my pet peeves working against it than anything else, the book was a great way to tie up loose ends and finally bring the pack together. I really enjoyed the action and the exercises and how that part played out. It was nice seeing it all come full circle with Nathan owning up to his actions in book one setting everything into motion and being able to move past it with his new packmates. And of course, it was great seeing Cam being the great Alpha we all knew he could be, so different from Newell, and the new members of his pack finally realizing it. Recommendable!

Bitten by Fate is the final installment of the Regent's Park Pack series. This book features Daryl and Jason who are the epitome of opposites attract. Daryl is super stoic and cold, where Jason is friendly and joyous. Daryl avoids relationships, Jason is in love with the idea of being in love.
Both are betas in their pack and have been tasked with supporting a bonding off-site to improve interpack relations. It's clear Jason is attracted to Daryl, so it's a bit predictable that the two will determine they're fated mates after they start a friends-with-benefits situation.
The storyline about how these two end up together is what's unpredictable and emotional. The author did a great job not only giving us great characters, but setting the scene so well that I felt I could be in the book.
By the end, I was completely invested in whether Daryl and Jason find their way both out of danger and to love.
Additionally, it was great visiting some of my favorite past characters from this series.
