I’ve read most of Mr. Northcote’s books and I’ve loved the majority of them. Stuck With You was well-written and it was, well, sort of enjoyable, but it definitely wasn’t my favorite read from this author.
Patrick was likable, but Kyle was a twinky little twat. It took a long time for his true colors to shine through and for me to warm up to him. He just wasn’t all that likable and truthfully, that diminished my enjoyment of the story. Is it unfair to rate an enemies-to-lovers on a character's likability? I don’t know, but this is just my opinion/taste.
I’m not into BDSM, and although spanking isn’t really my thing, these two were Uber hot together. Their chemistry, even when they hated one another, was out of this world.
I loved their interactions with Ms. Wilcox. She was a bit rough around the edges at first, but she turned out to be a sweetheart as well as the voice of reason for knocking some sense into Patrick and Kyle.
While not my favorite by this author, this was still a somewhat enjoyable read for me, that I’m sure most will adore. I really think it was just my dislike of Kyle. Still, a recommendable read!

Patrick has been single and celibate since he broke up with his boyfriend. He spends his time working, which lately includes mentoring Kyle. He's physically attracted to Kyle, but dislikes him personally. It doesn't help that Kyle spends a lot of time on Grindr, something that Patrick dislikes a great deal. When Patrick and Kyle need to make a trip for work together, Kyle's car breaks down and the two end up staying in a very small, cozy place.
Patrick seemed like a good guy, but he really had a hard time dealing with Kyle. I thought he was a very sensible guy most of the time. He thinks about others, and I liked how he looked out for Mrs. Wilcox even when she hadn't been all that friendly. Kyle was hard for me to connect with for a while. It wasn't until later in the book when he starts to show his vulnerable side that I started to see the defenses he has in place. When he finally opened up to Patrick about his past, things made more sense. The little gestures that Kyle and Patrick did for each other and for their host helped me see the kind of people they really were.
I enjoyed the story; it just took a while to warm up to Kyle. If you like enemies to lovers with a little bit of kink during the Christmas season, this book is for you.
