Add to that the frustration of seeing ghosts at every turn while he works a case that’s stalled in its tracks, and Rain is starting to wonder if second chances and happy endings are just for fairy tales.

Rain left his home three years ago to accept a position as a profiler for the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit. Upon his return from a two month mental/medical leave, his commander assigns him to a missing person case that's gone cold in his hometown. Back home, Rain is partnered up with his ex Danny, a detective for the local police, to try to solve the old case.

Rain isn't sure if he's going crazy. He can see and talk to ghosts. They pop up at the most inopportune moments, asking for his help to connect with their loved ones and Rain's boss and co-workers think he's gone batty, which is what caused the forced medical leave. Danny doesn't know what to think about having his ex back in his life. He's happy to have the bureau's help with his case, but he isn't sure he can ever trust Rain again, not after he abandoned him three years ago.

I love second chance romances, and this one was absolutely fabulous! It's well-written, filled with mystery and romance, as well as S.E. Harmon's witty humor. Both Rain and Danny are likable characters that you can root for. They had a chemistry that was out of this world and they lit the sheets on fire once they fall into bed. The mystery portion of the story is filled with twists and turns that kept me sitting on the edge of my seat trying to guess who'd done it, until the very end. I absolutely adored the ghost of Ethan. He was sweet, funny and loved to irritate Rain. This was a terrific read that's left me with a bit of a book hangover. I love S.E. Harmon's writing style and I can't wait to see what she's got in store for us next. Highly recommended!

Wow, this book is so funny! I had laugh out loud moments more than once.

FBI profiler Rain Christiansen is on his last chance with the Bureau after returning from an ordered two-month administrative aka psychiatric leave. It seems Rain has the ability to see and talk to ghosts, something the FBI thinks of as a sign he might be mentally unstable. If he can go back to the hometown he left and partner up with the man he abandoned 3 years earlier, solve a cold case and prove he's still a reliable asset to the job, he may just earn back the trust of his colleagues and boss. Unfortunately, though, the long line of ghosts waiting for his attention haven't gotten the memo. He'll have to figure out a way to silence the voices, deal with his "out there" hippie family, not fall hopelessly in love with his ex again, all while solving the 5-year-old missing person's case of 17-year-old Amy Greene.

I just have to say that this book is both funny and sexy and while it took longer that I would've liked for them to figure out what happened to Amy as well as finally having Rain and Danny stop dancing around each other, I very much enjoyed the story and the idea of P.S. I Spook You. It was packed with clever, witty banter. Rain is hilarious, not only with his encounters with the many ghosts he sees but with Danny, who's quite funny as well.

As I hustled for the main entrance, she fell into step behind me, and the tapping of her heels was loud in my ears. “So you think someone should just get away with stabbing me?” Her tone was aggressive and suggested what she’d do to me if I did. I had no desire to anger someone to whom locks, mace, and my Glock meant nothing. “No, I don’t.”

I loved how this book was created to keep us not only invested in Rain and Danny's relationship but also the case and possible future cases. I am anxious to see more books in the future as well as Rain and Danny's new lives. There is tons of potential for a fun series, full of exciting, fun and possibly emotionally charged stories. I highly recommend this book.
