Wicked Revenge is my first Zoey Derrick book but I am a huge MC Romance fan so I had to give it a try.
What I Loved: I love a good mystery because I'm a fan of intrigue. I love it when a story has my wheels turning and trying to piece together everything that is going on. Wicked Revenge had that. There are a lot of players involved in this story and there are plenty of things that need to be solved. Revenge is the name of the game here but so is deceit. Each and every character has something they're hiding and as it's slowly revealed to us (some of it is predictable, yet still entertaining) all the pieces start to come together.
It's funny but I loved more of the secondary characters than the main ones. Pyro was my favorite and I definitely loved Sticks.
What I Liked: I wish I could say I loved all of the characters but since I had trouble with Loki and Lily's relationship it was hard to fall in love with them. I did like Loki though in many ways and if it wasn't for his sexual exploits and his treatment of the women in his life, he'd be great. I loved his loyalty which was a huge part of him. Loki loved his family and wanted to protect them above all else. He'd do anything he could for Kellan.
Lily was a strong character as well and I love strong female characters. I really liked her determination to get revenge for her brother's death at the hands of his club, even if I personally thought she was playing with fire.
What I Didn't Like: So this won't be the first time I have said this and I'm positive it won't be the last. I don't like or feel comfortable with these older men (Loki is 10 years older than Lily) falling for or lusting after teenaged girls and then the moment they turn 18 (like literally the morning of her birthday) sleeping with or claiming them because suddenly now that they are 18, magically they're a woman. Hell to the NO folks! 18 does not mean grown. 18 is legal sure, but come on, it's not a determination of maturity and in this instance maturity is paramount.
This brings me to my next conflict. I am sorry but Lily at 17 didn't work for me. Her actions, her thoughts and the way she spoke. It was as if she were in her 20's and not in her teens. However, it wasn't as if it was because of the life she was forced to grow up in. It was more that she just didn't feel to me like she was an authentic teenager. This made it hard for me to connect with.
Overall, Wicked Revenge was very entertaining and I would recommend it to fans of MC and Biker books.
