Release Blitz: Robby Riverton: Mail Order Bride by Eli Easton (Review + Giveaway)

Cover Design: Dar Albert @ Wicked Smart Design

Length: 65,000 words approx.

Blurb

Being a fugitive in the old west shouldn’t be this much fun.

The year is 1860. Robby Riverton is a rising star on the New York stage. But he witnesses a murder by a famous crime boss and is forced to go on the run--all the way to Santa Fe. When he still hasn't ditched his pursuers, he disguises himself as a mail order bride he meets on the wagon train. Caught between gangsters that want to kill him, and the crazy, uncouth family of his "intended", Robby's only ally is a lazy sheriff who sees exactly who Robby is -- and can't resist him.

Trace Crabtree took the job as sheriff of Flat Bottom because there was never a thing going on. And then Robby Riverton showed up. Disguised as a woman. And betrothed to Trace’s brother. If that wasn’t complication enough, Trace had to find the man as appealing as blueberry pie. He urges Robby to stay undercover until the danger has passed. But a few weeks of having Robby-Rowena at the ranch, and the Crabtree family will never be the same again.

4.5 Stars!!!

Eli Easton has been one of my favorite authors ever since I read Blame it on the Mistletoe, so when I found out she was going to write a historical book set in the old west, I jumped at the chance of reading it. I love historical books, but even if you don't like them as much as I do, I do hope you give this book a chance. It's such a fun, fast-paced read and you'll truly be missing out on hours of laughing at Robby and Trace's family's antics if you pass on it.

Robby Riverton is an up-and-coming actor in New York who is in the wrong place at the wrong time and witnesses a man being murdered, so what else can he do but escape from his pursuers? Desperate times call for desperate measures and he ends up impersonating Ms. Rowena Fairchild, a mail-order bride who he met on the caravan train and who was on her way to the small town of Flat Bottom where she would meet her intended, only she met another man first and ran away with him.

The last thing Trace Crabtree expected was to find out that his younger brother's fiancĂ©e is really a man, a fugitive eyewitness at that, or that he'd be as attracted as he is to Robby. Now, if only he can find a way to help Robby out before the men pursuing him find him or he actually has to marry Trace's brother, they might have a chance at something.

Robby was fabulous and I adored him from the start. It took me a bit to warm up to Trace, he came across as a bit standoffish, but he seemed to have his heart in the right place. Robby and Trace had great chemistry and were hot together.

The rest of Crabtree family was an unexpected delight and it was lovely to see them flourish under Robby's tutelage. I wasn't sure what to make of Pa-pa Crabtree at first, but he was one of my favorites in the end.

As I mentioned before, this book was hilarious, with a witty and clever plot that weaves humor with the imminent danger of Robby being found by the men who were trying to silence him and from the Crabtree family finding out that he wasn't Ms. Fairchild. Really, give it a chance, I can assure you won't regret it!
