Kill her or don’t kill her

One job. I had one damn job: Eliminate Marcello, leave no witnesses.
I should kill her, but I can’t. Except letting her live may cost me my life.
Only one choice left. Lock her in my basement until I figure out what to do. I’ve never questioned myself before.
Until her.
She’s been Taken

5 Stars

I wasn’t sure how far I’d get with this book, the beginning is a bit cringe-worthy, the subject matter, not the writing. But the story quickly grabbed me and pulled me in. It was interesting with some twists and turns I didn’t see coming.

Isobel/Amanda and Brock are likable characters, well for people who work for crime families, anyway. Still, I couldn’t help root for them to get the bad guy and a Hea. They had great chemistry and were hot and passionate when they came together.

The story was well-written, fast-paced, action-packed and exciting. I enjoyed catching up with the characters from the previous books in the series and while this book could be potentially be read as a standalone, there is an ongoing storyline that would work better if read as part of the series.

All in all, this was an enjoyable read I’d definitely recommend!
