Oh fuck. I sat up and took his head in my two hands. Turned it this way and that to study him from every angle. "I just thought you were a guy who looks like him," I said.

Lyndon Becker started out a poor kid from Flint, Michigan. At the age of 14, he ran off to LA to be a star. After some name dropping, he got his first deal and is now a famous actor. While it's no secret he is gay, it's definitely not common knowledge that he enjoys the darker side of BDSM.
Shale Shelby is an ex money runner and "Boy Toy" of a Chinese Billionaire. While most have no clue that he dominated said billionaire. Now in Vegas, he is happy to play scenes with strangers.
When Shale is called to a hotel suite for a scene with a man he'd met in a bar, he's surprised to find a very different man in the room. While still curious about who set the two up, they sweep it under the rug for now. Without much discussion, the two begin a scene with Shale on the receiving end of a belt. However, Shale does not make his submission easy. He craves being forced to submit and especially challenging Lyndon at every turn. Lyndon will have to earn his role as Shale's Dom.
When Lyndon receives a video of the two of them in the middle of a session, he assumes it's Shale's doing until Shale convinced him otherwise. While the two grow closer, it becomes more and more apparent that the videos won't stop until Lyndon's career is ruined if something isn't done once and for all, and the solution will test both Shale and Lyndon's absolute limits.

Warning! This is not your run of the mill BDSM story. There are no contracts or negotiations on limits. There isn't even a tiny hint of a safe word. If you are looking for a sweet romance with a touch of dominance and submission in the bedroom then I suggest you stay away from Reaction Shot.
I was not at all sure if I would be able to get through it when I first started reading. I am very picky when it comes to BDSM, I very much prefer it to be consensual, light on the humiliation and torture, I like to call it BDSM lite. This book was not BDSM light. Still, though, I was well and truly hooked.
Once I got past my uncomfortableness at Shale and Lyndon's first scene and then my unease at their second, after I was able to overcome my reluctance at liking Shale and Lyndon, I found myself actually enjoying the story and the characters and wondering as to "who's behind the videos?" How's everything going to end for these two men?
I won't say I fell in love with Shale or Lyndon, honestly, I'm not completely sure that is possible at this stage, but I really liked them. They're both a**holes in a way, stubborn and egotistical. But they fit together (whether it's because no one else will put up with their sh*t or not, remains to be seen) it's obvious with their chemistry. I'd definitely like to see more from them and their relationship and how it will all end up in the future. For now, however, I was happy with the ending and where they both stood.
I ran away to Vegas. Now I’m running from it.
