So, the first thing I'll say is I didn't read the first two books. The other two couples are present in this book, but not enough to make me feel like I lost anything by not reading them.
I'm not even sure where to start with this review. I'm torn, because, while I thought the writing was really good, and the author drew me in and kept me entertained, I hated most of the story. Both of these young men are dealing with parental issues. Isaac's parents feel he is wasting his potential attending community college and working at a clothing store in the mall.
Mohammed's parents think he is straight and feel he should be ready to settle down and marry his long time girlfriend, Emma. Neither sets of parents listen to what their sons have to say. They just steamroll over them. They're the adults and they know what's best. Yada Yada Yada
I don't want to give the entire story away, so I'll just say, I didn't care for the characters or their actions. I felt at the end too many issues were left unresolved. Will this have a sequel to finish Isaac and Mohammed's story? I don't know, but I feel it needs one. The book ended before the story in my opinion. The only reason this book got 3 stars was because of the writing.
I'll be honest and say I couldn't recommend this book to any of my friends, because I don't believe they'd like it either.
