“My lord Aya,” Elian said, “I’ve prepared your bath early as you requested.”
Aya groaned into his pillow. He looked up just as his servant set a wooden bucket down near the foot of his bed. Steam rose off the water.
“Thank you, Elian.” Aya needed something to curb his frustration. After slipping his skirt down, he stepped out of it, and dipped his feet into the bucket. He closed his eyes, allowing Elian to wash him. Elian ran a warm cloth over his face, then his neck and his bare chest. Today I’m very lucky to be interviewing Aya, from Dream God by author J. Johanis
Hi Aya, thank you for agreeing to this interview.
- What do you find attractive in a man?
First of all, though some men are attractive, I’m mostly drawn to other gods. I find power very alluring. I like a strong god who can make my knees go week just by looking at me.
- The first thing that went through your head when you saw Marduk.
Marduk isn’t exactly my preferred type since he’s not an all-powerful god, but I was drawn to his air of confidence. The first time I saw him, I wasn’t blown away. Rather I was curious. He certainly caught my attention. It wasn’t until he kissed me that I was truly blown away.
- Do you think you’ll insist the author visits you again?
Yes. I will certainly be in her third book. However, I have to mention that I wasn’t a main character in Claimed by the Order, but so many readers asked to see more of me that the author ended up giving me a spotlight in Dream God.
- Before you met Marduk, what was your ideal god?
I admit that before Marduk I was drawn to powerful and wicked gods. I sought out Seth, thinking he was what I wanted, but Seth never cared about me. All he ever did was hurt me. I think my experience with Seth turned me off to powerful gods. Marduk is both strong and gentle, and after being with Marduk, I never wanted to look back.
- You’re going out for dinner. What’s your favorite food?
My favorite meal is roast lamb cooked with yogurt and rice, and served with red wine.
