I loved this story, it was well-written and even when dealing with very intense psychological issues, it was done in an informed, well-researched way.

Tate used to be an undercover policeman, until he was kidnapped and abused by a druglord, now he is trying to deal with the repercussions of those hellish four days and trying to build a life with his long life friend and new lover, Clay. Juggling with PTSD and with his lover coddling him and trying to keep him a secret from others to protect him, is proving to be more than he can bear, though.

Clay is the head of an elite investigation agency and has been in love with Tate for almost as long as they've known each other, but it wasn't until after Tate was left for dead, and miraculously survived, that he decided to step up his game and they got together. He's possessive and is scared that anything will happen to Tate and it will be his fault this time around. 

The chemistry between both men was amazing! The love scenes were uber hot, and they were certainly well matched. 

I also adored seeing the rest of Clay's friends, from the other Men of London books, and read how well they are all doing with their significant others. 

My only complaint is that I would have loved to see how Tate and Clay entered into their relationship, rather than just being told about it, other than that the story was fast-paced and intense and fantastic all around.

In an ideal world, Susan Mac Nicol would be Queen of England and banish all the bad people to the Never Never Lands of Wherever -Who Cares. As that's never going to happen, she contents herself with writing her HEA stories and pretending, that just for a little while, good things happen to good people.
