If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the orchard.

The last person Griffin Shipley expects to find stuck in a ditch on his Vermont country road is his ex-hookup. Five years ago they’d shared a couple of steamy nights together. But that was a lifetime ago.

At twenty-seven, Griff is now the accidental patriarch of his family farm. Even his enormous shoulders feel the strain of supporting his mother, three siblings and a dotty grandfather. He doesn’t have time for the sorority girl who’s shown up expecting to buy his harvest at half price.

Vermont was never in Audrey Kidder’s travel plans. Neither was Griff Shipley. But she needs a second chance with the restaurant conglomerate employing her. Okay—a fifth chance. And no self-righteous lumbersexual farmer will stand in her way.

They’re adversaries. They want entirely different things from life. Too bad their sexual chemistry is as hot as Audrey’s top secret enchilada sauce, and then some.

Griffin Shipley has spent the time since he had to take over his family's farm working and while he feels lonely at times, he has little time to dwell on it. When Audrey Kidder lands on his property, he can barely believe it. They had a couple of steamy encounters five years ago when they were still in college, but they'd lost contact shortly after.

Audrey Kidder has had a few rough years. Now she's working as an intern for a conglomerate in Boston and while luck hasn't exactly been on her side so far, she's intent on making the best of this last chance they gave her. Of course, first she will have to convince Griff to help her, which is definitely not an easy feat.

I absolutely loved Griffin and Audrey. Audrey was relatable, down-to-earth, sweet and sassy, just the perfect counterpart for grouchy, stubborn, lumbersexual, yummy Griffin (just look at that cover and drool). I didn't see them much as adversaries as the blurb says, more like having a second chance at making things right. Yes, there were some things going against them, but their chemistry and the way they just fit together were unmistakable. The sex scenes were off-the-charts hot and really, just seeing them together in any capacity made me smile.

I loved Griff's family and coworkers, even Audrey's mom ended up winning me over.

This was a fantastic start to the series, it's fast-paced, has an enticing blend of hotness, romance, comedy, and angst that kept me interested until the last word. I'm definitely hooked, and can't wait until Book 2 so I can feed my addiction!

Rating: 5 Stars!!!
