Blurb:
When Denver’s long-term partner breaks up with him, he flees his life, his career, and his bright future as one of the country’s leading trauma surgeons. Ditching everything but his dog, Denver returns to the quiet town of Cooper’s Ridge and his parents’ ranch.
Leaving twelve years earlier, Denver knew he would never be accepted as a gay man in an unaccepting town. So, when he meets Kes—an old school friend—in the bar he owns, he is shocked to find him in an openly gay relationship. Something he never thought would happen here.
What surprises him even more is the instant, mutual attraction the three men have. Accepting a job in Kes’ bar, they dance around each other, wanting them but not believing he would ever fit in with a couple so obviously in love. But, they want him. And they are not prepared to let him go.
Denver takes a risk and accepts their offer of a night out, finding a side of himself he never knew existed. Not trusting himself to be enough for the two men, the desire blooming in him is unprecedented and he can’t deny it: he wants them as much.
He finds his life falling into place, all because of two men. Is it possible he found his forever in a place he never expected it?
Excerpt:
“You’re killing me here! Seriously? A glory hole, in the restroom?” I’m laughing so hard, I nearly tip over the chair I’m leaning back on.
“It’s not fucking funny, you asshole. I just want to know if you can come over and fix it?” Kester is trying not to laugh, I can hear it, but I love winding him up.
“For you, baby, anything. I’ll get another divide and come on over.” I drop the front two legs of the chair back down on the floor.
“Thank you, I’d like it done before opening tonight.” Kes sounds more relaxed.
“Only because I love you, but there’s one condition: we have to try it first.” Damn, the thought of that has my dick throbbing.
“Hmm, maybe. It depends how quickly you can get here,” he chuckles.
I’m still smiling when I hit the builders’ merchants. I have no problem choosing the correct piece since it was me who fitted out the bar when Kes bought it and needed to refurbish the whole place.
I shake my head as I remember seeing Kes for the first time in years. I knew him, of course. But, as he’s older, we were never friends at school and I would never have been brave enough to approach him anyway. Kester Dereham was the coolest kid in school: smart, baseball captain, and so damn hot in his tight white pants. I spent hours dreaming of him. And jerking off. Hell yeah, plenty of hours whacking one off with his face filling my mind. He’d gone off to college and only came back during the summers and holidays and, still, we never socialized in the same circle.
I was surprised when I heard he’d moved back for good and saddened for the reason, so I was more than ready to do the refit for him. I wasn’t prepared for him to remember me, let alone come on to me. I had no idea he was gay but, hell, I was never gonna turn him down. That was two years ago. We now have a house together and have been accepted by our, normally closeminded, community as a couple.
Pulling up outside the bar, I grab my tool bag from the back of the truck, leaving the partition where it is for now. Sauntering up to the door, I tap on the glass and wait for him to reach me, giving me time to take all of him in. He stands taller than me at six foot, with dirty blond hair that is long enough to tie back at the nape of his neck. Under the tight, black T-shirt with the bar’s name emblazoned across the front, I can see the outline of his firm, muscular body, the one I know intimately and have mapped every plane of with my tongue. His hazel eyes sparkle and his smile widens as he reaches me.
“Hey, baby, you have moved quickly. Always so eager to please.” Kes’ voice lowers as he leans in to kiss me. His mouth hovers over mine briefly, but long enough to make me sigh in need, then presses firmly onto mine.
About the author:
I’m J J Harper or Jess to my friends and family. I sit in my living room typing away, with my dog and a warm fire in the winter. And in the summer, I sit in the garden soaking up the sunshine, still tapping away on my laptop, still with my dog. I write hot, sexy and lovable male romance with men that you wish you could keep to yourselves so much so that I sometimes find it hard to share them ?
I’m a bookaholic, coffee addicted, wine drinking and swear like a Sailor type of girl and I have still yet to work out how to act my age!! Lol. And I have no intentions of growing up or growing old gracefully, I live in a small very quiet village in Lincolnshire, UK, with my husband and my dog and spend all day dreaming up stories full of really hot men.
