Chad hasn't decided what he wants to do with his life yet. He drifts from job to job, working just long enough to pay his bills, until he gets bored and drifts to another job. He has a close relationship with his sister, Marley. When he attends a work party at Marley and her boyfriend Austin's home, he's only attending for the free food and beer, he meets Owen. It's lust and hate at first site all rolled into one for both Owen and Chad. Owen works for Chad's sister, Marley at Gamers magazine as a copy editor. Owen dislikes Chad at first sight. He thinks he is irresponsible and reckless.

I love a good enemies to lovers story and this was an awesome one with some hot and angry, I hate you but can't keep my hands off you sex!! I needed a fan to read this book, it was SMOKIN' HOTT!! It also has some sweet and tender moments as well. Even though I wanted to strangle both characters at times, and found them to both be stubborn, they were also both lovable characters. They have to both work past their insecurities, so they can let themselves believe the other truly wants them. These characters had an amazing chemistry. The sexual tension was palpable. You could feel it coming off the pages at you. The story is well written and flows well. It has passion and feeling. It was hilarious and had me laughing out loud. It holds you captive from the first word and keeps you turning the pages to see what will happen next. I can't say enough how much I loved this book!! <3

Although this is part of a series, and I haven't read the other books, I never felt lost. This can definitely be read as a standalone. This was an extremely enjoyable story and highly recommended!!

Chad isn't too sure what he wants to do out of his life, he has been unable to commit himself to anything for more than a couple of months at a time, but now at 27 he's finally ready to do something about it. Owen is responsible, mature, and hot in a nerdy way. They are complete opposites and don't see eye to eye on most things, despite the attraction burning hot from the moment their paths cross. Lust and hate give way to a tentative relationship, but their insecurities and distrust might ruin things before they can solidify anything between them. 

I absolutely loved this story! I also had the worst book hangover ever after reading it, too, but it was sooooo worth it! * happy sigh* While this book is part of a series, it may be read as a standalone. 

Chad and Owen are amazing, both by themselves and as a couple, although I have a certain weakness for Chad. He showed so much growth during the story, from the slightly irresponsible bad boy into someone he and Owen could feel proud of. His insecurities at feeling he might not be good enough for Owen just made me want to cuddle him. The two of them together were unbelievingly HOT, and every scene with them made the room temp go up a few degrees. *fans self* They were also funny and sweet and so very stubborn, which certainly kept things interesting. 

I've read other stories by Megan Erickson, but I can safely say this is my favorite of hers and probably my favorite from any other author ever, too. The brilliant, fun and sexy writing, with an engaging set of characters and a fantastic enemies-to-lovers premise makes this one hell of a way to start 2016! You definitely can't go wrong with it!
