Dance With Destiny by Sloan Johnson 4.5 Star ARC Review

Dance With Destiny by Sloan Johnson 4.5 Star ARC Review

Blurb:
Tony DeLuca has to get to New York, nor’easter be damned. His older sister is getting married and it won’t matter to her if the entire east coast is shut down if it means she’s short a groomsman. She’s the only reason he’s willing to make the trip home to face a father who’s never forgiven him for wasting a perfectly good degree to become a firefighter. And that’s only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to everything about Tony that his father will never accept.

Dominic Tricoli’s living his dream. He’s spent the past few years working to mesh his business degree and love of the outdoors into a thriving company, providing team building retreats for some of the country’s largest corporations. Unfortunately, there’s a price to pay for happiness, and having someone to come home to at night is the sacrifice Dominic made.

When Dominic overhears Tony’s plight, he’s drawn to help the man get to New York City. Little does Dominic know that one kind gesture will awaken a side of him he’s ignored for far too long. Against his better judgment, he gives in to his desires and Tony’s advances. Just for the night.

When destiny steps in, giving him another chance with the charismatic man who saved his hide, Tony’s willing to do whatever it takes to earn Dominic’s forgiveness and understanding. There may not be forever, but Tony’s determined to enjoy every single minute he’s given with Dominic.

You can’t fight fate. Whatever’s meant to happen, eventually will.

Tracy's Review

4.5 Dance With Destiny Stars!!

**This book was provided to me in exchange for an honest review**

Tony has to get to New York for his sisters wedding. She will never forgive him if she is short a groomsman. A Nor'easter has all flights into New York cancelled or delayed.

Dominic has to get to New York as well. He rents a car, since his flight is canceled. Leaving the airport he hears Tony pleading for a flight to New York, so impulsively he stops and offers Tony a ride.

This turns out to be the ride of a life time for these two men. They are both attracted to the other, and eventually give in to their attraction for just one night. The two men part on not so good terms, but fate/destiny steps in to give them a second chance a few days after they get to New York.

When the chance blows up in their faces, Dom takes off. This was the most emotional part of the book. Dom's past story is one of the most heartbreaking I have ever read. Sloan turned me into a blubbering snot ball! I usually despise flashbacks in a books, but Sloan worked them in beautifully and I enjoyed them, even craved young Dom's story just as much as I enjoyed the present story. I felt young Dom's pain. I wanted to reach out and cuddle him. Writing this review and thinking about it now, I want to curl into a ball and cry.

Then we have Tony's pain. Tony is in the closet to everyone but his sister and new brother-in-law. When he finally decides it's time to stop hiding, and come out to the rest of his family it doesn't go well. Most of his family members are bigoted and narrow minded.

Will Dom and Tony get past the hurt and give a relationship a chance. Can they help comfort and heal one another?

This was an awesome book. It held me captivated and turning the next page to see what was going to happen. The sex was hot (I drive a Ford Escape, and will think of Dom and Tony for a long time to come every time I get into my vehicle!! Thank you for that Sloan!!! lol), the chemistry was electric between these two men.

This book will take you on a true roller coaster ride emotionally. I laughter, cried, and swooned. I was fighting mad at times, but it was a real pleasure to get to travel this road with Dom and Tony, as they make their journey into a HEA!

About Sloan:
Sloan Johnson is a big city girl trapped in a country girl's body. While she longs for the hustle and bustle of New York City or Las Vegas, she hasn't yet figured out how to sit on the deck with her morning coffee, watching the deer and wild turkeys in the fields while surrounded by concrete and glass.

When she was three, her parents received their first call from the principal asking them to pick her up from school. Apparently, if you aren't enrolled, you can't attend classes, even in Kindergarten. The next week, she was in preschool and started plotting her first story soon after.

Later in life, her parents needed to do something to help their socially awkward, uncoordinated child come out of her shell and figured there was no better place than a bar on Wednesday nights. It's a good thing they did because this is where she found her love of reading and writing. Who needs socialization when you can sit alone in your bedroom with a good book?
