Tracy's Review:
**This book was provided to me by the author in exchange for an honest review**

4.5 Stars

Dax and Beck meet when Dax, who has recently returned home from war, and been discharged from the Army, moves from Colorado to California, to live with his best friend. He moves to escape his family who has no idea he is gay. When Dax decides to get a tattoo to commemorate his friend, a fallen soldier, he ends up in Beck’s tattoo shop. Dax has come back from war lost, broken, suffering from not only PTSD, but also survivor's guilt.

Beck may look the part of the rough bad boy tattoo artist, but he is damaged as well. Growing up with a mother who was a drug addict, and now watching his little sister, who he has tried so hard to protect follow in their mother's foot steps, has taken its toll on Beck.

Beck and Dax want each other, but they both feel it just isn’t the right time. They both feel they have too much on their plates to deal with a relationship as well. But still they are drawn to one another. They can’t resist the pull.

These two guys were beyond stubborn. There was a constant push and pull, especially in the beginning. I honestly wasn't sure if they even liked each other. lol They seemed to turn on one another so quickly. Beck especially was almost rude at times.

This book was about so much more than Dax and Beck. The relationship seemed to be almost a secondary plot, that took a backseat to the issues both Dax and Beck were dealing with, at times. In the beginning of the book it is about them. Then it takes a turn and they go on to face their individual demons. I loved the demons they faced, I just wish they would have faced them together. I also could have lived without all the flashbacks. Some were necessary, but I don't think we needed as many as we were given. I wish we would have stayed more in the present.

I really loved Dax and Beck as a couple. When they worked as a couple, it was beautiful, electric, and hot as hell. They had a chemistry that was electric. I felt their love.

This is my first book by Melissa, but if she writes more books in the m/m genre, it won't be my last.

Melissa Collins has always been a book worm. Studying Literature in college ensured that her nose was always stuck in a book. She followed her passion for reading to the most logical career choice: English teacher. Her hope was to share her passion for reading and the escapism of books to her students. Having spent more than a decade in front of a classroom, she can easily say that it’s been a dream. Her passion for writing didn’t start until more recently. When she was home on maternity leave in early 2012, she read her first romance novel and her head filled with the passion, angst and laughter of the characters who she read about it. It wasn’t long before characters of her own took shape in her mind. Their lives took over Melissa’s brain and The Love Series was born.
